Steve Lang

Steve Lang, 2020 Indiana State USBC inductee is being honored for his outstanding bowling career. He started bowling in 1972, opened his first pro shop in 1990 and he is well known for running Bowling Pro Shop in Indianapolis. Individuals come from all over the state to have him take care of their bowling equipment needs.

Steve was honored in 1996 when he was inducted into the Indy USBC Hall of Fame.

He is a proven bowler on the local, state and national levels. Steve has won seven titles in the Indiana State Open Championships—

• 1990 Team Actual Championship
• 1991 Team Actual Championship
• 1995 Team Actual Championship
• 1995 Team Handicap Championship
• 1995 Doubles Actual Championship
• 1995 Doubles Handicap Championship
• 2003 Team Actual Championship
Steve is a consistent casher at the USBC Open Championship Tournament where he has four top ten finishes in 2003, 2005, 2008 and 2010.
At the local level, he has won numerous titles. Steve holds the following titles in the Indy USBC Association—
• Indianapolis city Team Actual Champion 12 times:

    o 1982-83, 1984-85, 1988-89, 1989-90, 1992-93, 1994-95, 1995-96, 2003-04, 2011-12, 2012-13, 2014-15, 2017-18

• 1995-96 Actual and Handicap Team Championship setting a City Record of 3630
• 1985 Doubles Championship
• 1998 Doubles Championship
• 2009 Doubles Actual and Handicap Championships
• 1985 All-Events Champion

Steve’s career high scores are impressive—
• He has bowled over 30-300 games including one in the USBC Open Championship and one in the PBA competition
• Steve has 9-800 series including an 857 series rolled in 1993

He holds three PBA regional titles.

Steve also has won two doubles titles and one team title at the Louisville Derby Tournament.
