
Mark Sullivan of the Indy USBC began his outstanding bowling career with his first league at Shelby Bowl, Indianapolis, in 1972 in the Bantam league at 8 years old. Since that time, he has been a member of the PBA (1984), where he has bowled part-time on the PBA Tour (1986-89). His accomplishments that have honored him as a 2004 Indy USBC Hall of Fame inductee, now bring him recognition as a 2020 inductee to the Indiana State USBC Hall of Fame for performance.
Mark has been an active bowler on the local, state, national and PBA levels. He has won numerous titles at the state level and in the Indianapolis Bowling Association, where he excels at bowling in some of the toughest sport leagues within the Greater Indianapolis area. He consistently wins money at the USBC Open Championship Tournament, and he has had several top-ten finishes in PBA events.
Mark Accomplishments include:
National Level—
• Mark has 4 top-10 finishes in the USBC Open Team events
• Won the BTM tournament 2008 in Albuquerque, NM (Companion tournament to USBC Open tournament)
• Mark re-joined PBA in 2014 and started bowling the PBA50 Tour part-time (5-6 events per season last 5 seasons) and had several top 10 finishes along with a 6th Place finish at this year’s PBA50 National Championships at The Villages in 2019
State Level—
• 1997 Indiana State Singles Champion
• 2003 Indiana State Team Actual Champion
• 2012 State Masters title and one runner-up finish
• Was an Indiana State qualifier for Team USA trials
Local Level—
• High Average in Teen Travelers 1980-81 and 1981-82
• Won the Indianapolis City Match play tournament in 1980 and 1981
• Won City singles and all-events in 1981-82
• Won at least 7 City Team event titles
• Two-time city singles and all-event champion
• All Star Trios Title
Other Accomplishments—
In the Louisville Derby tournament, Mark won two doubles titles with Steve Lang, a singles title with 858 series, and an all events title. He was also a winner of “Shootout at the Fort.”
